​docpinions.com was founded by physicians and patients frustrated with the traditional access to expert medical and surgical care.  Our guiding principle is that all patients should get second opinions regarding a diagnosis or treatment plan.  Our leadership team has years of experience in healthcare delivery, customer service and medical records management.

Why We Exist

When faced with a difficult medical decision, people often have unanswered questions and unmet needs.  The second opinion process can be confusing and difficult to navigate, not to mention awkward for patients. ​​ Many patients don't even know where to begin let alone start the process.  Moreover, it is not widely known that many insurance plans cover second opinion consultations.  Finally, obtaining a second opinion appointment with a highly regarded expert may take weeks if not months.  docpinions.com was formed to stream-line and safeguard the entire second opinion process to minimize stress and frustration.
